How we work
ATC’s work has been characterized by an ongoing understanding of the changing nature of the general political landscape, the broad complexion of the sector at large, and shifts in the cultural economy. It recognises the pressing need to respond to a clear analysis of trends with new approaches to development support which take them into account.
Over time ATC has worked across the full spectrum of creative professionals, from the traditional arts sector (performing arts, visual arts, music, literature), through other cultural sectors including heritage and libraries, to the more modern creative industries including media and design companies.
This website highlights the wide range of projects, support services and the many additional types of activity we have offered in the past. It is noticeable that ATC’s programme changes regularly over time, reflecting the changing needs of the sector and the priorities of funders, but also due to our own emphasis on refining and innovating around what we do to make professional development relevant and accessible to those who most need it.
